The Little Things

Since the kids have moved out, my wife and I have made great strides to create our own theme rooms in the house.  My room is dedicated to my love of all things related to Marvel Comics.  My wife took a decidedly innocent route and focused on her fondness of winter décor.  Her birthday is on the horizon and I wanted to get her something special.

After asking around, a friend of mine told me about these great Wooly ® snowmen that he found in the East Coast.  They were like little lifelike guys and I took a chance and purchased one.  My Wooly ® came in the mail the other day and it’s definitely the most unique snowman I’ve ever seen.  I know my wife will love it…even if she’s not happy about my life-sized Elektra mannequin that I want to get.

Graduating into Life

My nephew is graduating college this month and I wanted to get him something special.  While most graduation presents are a bit outlandish (cars? really?) and cheesy (a cake shaped to look like a cap), I wanted to get him something special and heartfelt.  Ever since he was a kid, he’s had a fascination with snowmen.  In fact, when he was 9, he built a snowman family.  It was quite adorable.

Searching online, I came across these beautifully made snowmen figures that were handcrafted.  I found a figurine that had a cap and gown and realized that it was the perfect present for him.  I folded up a little check for a decent amount and taped it to the hands, but this figure itself is one of the best snowmen gifts that I’ve seen out on the internet.
